Colorado Background Checks & Criminal History Screening
HireSafe is not for everyone. We're different.
Much like the state of Colorado, our company is a little bit different. We do things are own way, but what makes us different makes us unique and appealing.
In this industry, we're the underdog. Don't get us wrong, we do very well and are growing exceptionally fast. We aren't a 1000 employee behemoth like some of our direct competitors, but we still compete; through creative marketing, elite background screening and notably, superb service.
We are always there to consult, give advice, and take care of our existing clients. While the big guys are outsourcing jobs and services outside of the country to pay for their 7 figure fines, we're chugging a long as a privately funded, client-driven company with an A+ BBB rating.
For these reasons, we think we are ideally suited to handle your Colorado employment screening needs and welcome new partnerships from a state that we admire.

Motor Vehicle Record Search Requirements by the State of Colorado
A Motor Vehicle Report is sometimes referred to as a MVR, MVR Report, MVR Search, MVR Check, a Driver's License Verification, a Driving Records search, or a DMV search. The Colorado Motor Vehicle Report checks the driving record of a potential employee and verifies that an applicant has the driver's license claimed. It may provide information regarding irresponsible behavior, including whether there is a history of substance abuse, repeated traffic violations, failures to appear, and unpaid fines
Checking the driving record of current and prospective employees by using HireSafe’s search of Colorado DMV records is crucial to the success of your businesses. A search the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles records will gather trustworthy information which may pertain to areas of public safety, human resources and other business permissible purposes.
Colorado Departments of Motor Vehicles (DMV’s) maintain and provide driving records in one way or another. Colorado Motor Vehicle Records (MVR’s) report the applicants’ statewide driving records, including Commercial Driver's License status (CDL) for at least 3 years, oftentimes up to 7 years. It is logical to screen motor vehicle records for any employment position requiring driving, such as trucking, transportation, delivery, DOT compliance or any use of company vehicles. However the Colorado MVR provides additional valuable insight into the character of the applicant regardless of the position being filled. Most importantly, the MVR is the only source for a verified date-of-birth which is critical for an accurate criminal record search. County court criminal records are filled by name and date-of-birth, not by SSN! Motor Vehicle Reports provide a wealth of personal data that can be used for cross-reference, and criminal offenses pertaining to motor vehicles which may not be revealed by other criminal checks.
Colorado driving record (CO)
License suspension and revocation information is shared with all 50 states. No state may issue a driver's license if there is an active suspension or revocation in another state. If your suspension or revocation originated in another state you must follow that state's reinstatement procedures. The Department does not notify a driver when their suspension or revocation period has ended. The letter you receive when the action is first taken states the beginning and ending dates of the suspension or revocation period. Records are available for up to 7 years. The “worse” the record, the farther back the record will be kept. It takes 3 to 12 days or more before new records are available for inquiry.
