Why do background checks have surcharges and imposed fees?
When HireSafe conducts a background check, we must obtain records from the state or county agencies where your applicant has lived. Sometimes these departments charge a fee for retrieving that information. These are known as third party- administrative (TPA) fees and are in addition to other charges.
